I'm really enjoying yoga. I think it helps everyone, we don't really have gym and by the time I get home I can't work out. My body just feels good after the challenge. I love how In that picture (the red head.) I was also wondering if I could get some of the music you use in class I really like it. :) I have a new email too its seastarmirror@gmail.com
oh yay! I love pictures. I think it is good for all of us to see everyone else in action. I'm normally so focused on myself, it is nice to see everyone else practicing.
Yoga has been a good outlet for me these past few weeks. I enjoy being able to just chill out for last block of the day and de-cloud my mind from all the worries and stresses of my day. Sometimes I go into the room and I just really don't want to do it, and I could think of a million better things to do but afterwards I feel ten times better that I did it. I'm really proud of Jessica for having the will to come into our school and show us ways of connecting with out inner selves besides doing harmful things to our bodies (i.e drugs, drinking, ect.) to help us forget about our daily troubles. -Katie L.
my favortie part about yoga is the conversations we have before every class. I think listening to what other people think is a great way for us to broaden our minds. being a teenager is hard enough. knowing that my peers are going through similar things really gives me a comfort to know that i am not the only on with troubles. -Callie
I must say, the photos speak volumes! Have you ever seen such concentration and focus in so many students at once? Sound bytes and the era of instant gratification make patience and extended focus a real challege for today's young adults. Many of my students have expressed how practicing yoga helps them relieve the stress they often feel from the high expectations of school and life in general. What an incredibly useful benefit to add to the obvious increases in physical strength and flexibility! What the photos don't show are the in-depth, soul-searching discussions that take place prior to our practice and really get everyone thinking. Got to love it! Namaste
I love love love yoga. It's been so great for me and it helps wonderfully with the stress. When im on my mat, its like im in my own little world not having to worry about anything but that very moment.
-Heather M. p.s it's really nice seeing the pictures, its prof to my mom that i really do it=]
A spiritual practice is one thing that brings us full circle- not to a new self but, rather, back to the essence of our true selves. At the end of a hero's journey, he finds that he did not need to go anywhere, that he sought what was inside him all along.
